This adventure combines Venice, the mountains of Val Gardena, and a 4-day hut-to-hut trek through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Dolomites. We’ll meet in Venice for our first night together before traveling to Selva in Val Gardena, where we’ll meet our mountain guides and prepare for the trek ahead.
Over four days, we’ll hike from Val Gardena to Val di Fassa, traveling through alpine meadows, forests, and dramatic limestone mountains. The route runs largely through the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park and includes iconic landscapes like Seiser Alm, the Schlern Massif, Lake Antermoia, and the Rosengarten mountains.
We’ll spend three nights in traditional mountain huts, surrounded by incredible scenery and immersed in the fun, communal atmosphere of hut-to-hut hiking.
One of the things we love about this itinerary is that the shorter hiking days give us time to truly enjoy the experience along the way. We can stop for delicious lunches at mountain huts during our hikes and arrive at our rifugios with plenty of time to relax, play cards, grab a cold drink, watch the sunset, and enjoy dinner together.
With moderate hiking distances, well-maintained trails, and no technical climbing required, this trip is an incredible way to experience the magic of the Dolomites and a great introduction to multi-day trekking.
